Last week was a busy week!
Our team attended ‘Buildex’ – an awesome tradeshow for the design, construction and real estate industries.
We split up to divide and conquer! Jane and Shauna went Wednesday, and scoured the show floor for new ideas and suppliers. They also attended some seminars – Jane went to ‘Multi Generational Kitchens’ and Shauna attended ‘Future Colour Trends: Fantasies and Realities’. As hard as it is to find time for non project related things it’s important for us to keep up with current information and trends.
Rob, Steph, and I attended the show on Thursday. Steph went to a seminar ‘The Essence of the West Coast Spirit’ – very cool overview on West Coast Modern Aesthetic. I attended ‘Universal Design’.
I was also invited to the Third Annual IDC/IIDA Vancouver Leaders Breakfast by one of our amazing suppliers – Bradlee Distributers. It was really interesting – one of Canada’s design icons John Fluevog was the keynote speaker. He is a Vancouver entrepreneur and shoe designer, you can check out his stuff here: www.fluevog.com
We found some interesting things on the show floor:
Up this week – the BC Home and Garden Show!
