Amber’s interest in interior design started at a young age. Growing up in a family of trades with many renovations, she quickly began to love the process as well as the “before and after” results.
After graduation, she attended the University of the Fraser Valley for Architectural Drafting. During her time at UFV, she learned the technical side of design along with base building construction. After a year in the program, Amber realized the technical elements weren’t going to be enough to satisfy her, and she wanted to explore Interior Design further.
Amber then found the Interior Design Program at BCIT and completed her Interior Design Management Certificate, while working in the industry. After 4 years working in multi-family residential design she decided that she preferred a more personal touch on projects and working with clients and joined the team at SGDI.
At SGDI, she has been able to work alongside clients to create custom spaces that truly reflect their lifestyle and needs. She is currently expanding her knowledge further by pursuing her Diploma of Interior Design at BCIT.
Amber is a member of the Interior Designers Institute of BC and enjoys leaning all aspects of design.
