Sean’s life has always encompassed architecture, design, and nature. Having predominantly grown up in the heart of Vancouver, with the ocean in the foreground and a mountainous backdrop, Sean was surrounded by a relatively young urban environment to witness constantly change and evolution. His interest in the diversity of urban and rural neighbourhoods developed naturally, observing and participating in the continuous expansion of the city, as it accommodates the ever-growing population and their needs.
After his discovery and pursuit of visual arts in high school, Sean went on to study at BCIT, continued his education at Emily Carr University of Art & Design, as well as the Syllabus Program at the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada.
Sean has a broad spectrum of architectural experience, ranging from retail and commercial, to hospitality and residential. Having this history, Sean feels the best design is for the home, and has found his true passion in custom home design. He leads with the philosophy that since this is where everyone goes to decompress at the end of the day, it should be warm, welcoming, give its owners a sense of pride and the envy of others.
Sean’s has been involved with many notable projects throughout Western Canada. At SGDI, Sean works thru design details in CAD to ensure the homes he is helping to create are a perfect personal reflection of the clients desires – providing them comfort and pride for years to come.
“We should attempt to bring nature, houses, and human beings together in a higher unity.” – Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
