Stephanie, RID
Interior Designer

After graduating from the University of Victoria with a double major in Fine Arts and Art History, Stephanie decided to jump out into the world and see what it had to offer. Travelling and living abroad provided her with a wider perspective on the world and its different customs, traditions, art forms and uses of space. She observed how each culture handles space differently and how tradition and art form overlap in an interesting fusion. This world exposure is where Stephanie continues to draw her inspiration from.

After returning from her travels, Stephanie wanted to find a field where she could focus her creativity and work with people. She found her way to Interior Design program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and thoroughly enjoyed the technical aspects of design as it balanced her creative side. The projects she worked on were a way to channel her inspiration in a creative way that allowed her to enhance interior spaces. She discovered that she had a passion for improving the functionality and practicality of spaces while giving clients what they have been dreaming of. After graduating with Distinction, she started working for SGDI creating innovative, functional, unique, and beautiful spaces for clients to live in.

At SGDI, Stephanie is an integral office personality, her experience finds her leading projects with variety in style and size that enable her to push her boundaries and be innovative in people’s homes. She finds a great sense of achievement from working alongside clients to channel their vision and wishes for their home into reality and then watching them settle into their new homes and enjoy life. Since joining SGDI in 2010, Stephanie has helped many clients create their dream home, which has resulted in many award-winning projects.

Stephanie is a member of the Interior Designers Institute of BC and has passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and holds the title of Registered Interior Designer (RID).

What People Are Saying

Lawrence Green

"I was impressed not only by Sarah's design ability, but also with her level of construction knowledge. I have heard that a lot of designers are good at making things pretty, but are not that great at understanding how things are actually built- Sarah is fantastic at both. I recommend them to anyone and everyone I know without hesitation."

Diane and Vince Grdina

"We had the pleasure of working with Sarah on the construction of our new home. We had a lot of fun working with them and found them always thoughtful, mindful, and professional. We would highly recommend their firm and would use them again without hesitation."

Pete Rackow

"We were immediately impressed with Sarah's ability to assess our needs and understand the type of home my wife and I wanted for us and our 3 boys. Her attention to detail is flawless and every inch of our fully renovated home is thoroughly thought through. I felt like they cared about our home as much as we the homeowners did."
